Jacqueline Fierstein

Thank you for having a look at what I am learning to do! I look forward to your constructive suggestions, ideas and comments about my work.

I am a self taught photographer and beginning printmaker, teacher, traveller, wife, mother and friend – discovering the pearls in life’s oysters one at a time.

Photography inspires me to develop a visual language in which I can describe a deeper understanding of the world around me.

  1. hi again Jacqueline,
I’m not sure whether you received my “comment” about how nice it was to meet you yesterday at the Nikon workshop and how inspired I am by your photos.

    1. Hi Susan!

It was great meeting you as well! I am really excited that you decided to take the plunge and start your own DSLR adventure! Your drawn portraits are incredible and perhaps you will find a creative way to combing them both. Surprise your self – let the camera and your pencil lead you to new places!

Don’t worry about being overwhelmed at first. I am still scratching the tip of the iceberg – but it is the journey and not the destination that is important – and what better way to do take a journey than behind the lens of your new camera!

I can recommend a blog called “Digital Photographic School” and of course, Youtube, which has a lot of helpful tutorials to get you started; (http://digital-photography-school.com/photography-tips-absolute-beginners/) (http://digital-photography-school.com/tips). The more you take the camera out for a spin the more “Aha! – That’s what that is for!” moments you will have.

Thank you so much for your lovely compliments on my photos. I really appreciate them! Please follow and keep dropping by to see what is new.

      🙂 Jacqueline
